The long awaited Zoo Negara Day Trip is here. We had been planning this trip for a few months and it was all due to the news of our Made in Malaysia Panda 'Nuan Nuan' will be going back to China after it turns 2 this year.
So, Zoo Negara, or the National Zoo of Malaysia, located just alongside the MRR2 near Melawati Hill was the largest Zoo in Malaysia with more than a 100 acres since 1963.
Getting there was easy if you are driving, just goes a long the MRR2 and make a u-turn in the intersection of Taman Melawati and the Zoo will be on your left. Public transportation to Zoo Negara isn't that difficult either, just get onto the KJ Line LRT and there will be feeder bus greeting you at Wangsa Maju station.
On the day itself, it was raining the whole morning, we were not really anticipating a good weather and might probably cancel the trip on the day until the sun came out in the afternoon and off we went! We were there just after noon and the opening hour of the Zoo is from 9am to 5pm Everyday. We bought the tickets for MyKad holder at only RM44 per pax but foreigners are forced to pay more though.

There are plenty of Carpark in the Zoo Negara and it was RM9 per entry.
We were kinda short of time so we had decided to skip the tram and rely solely on our foot this time. Once we past the entrance where they'll need to scan the wrist band tickets.
Too bad both of us aren't any expert in animals so I'll just put all the photos down here for you all to take a look at what they are having in the zoo right now.

Very nice and colorful Tiger in the enclosure.

Lion and lioness messing around with each other.

We can start to see the age on the Lion there but still it doesn't stop him from roaring in front of us.

The Giant Panda feeding time is around 2-2.30pm and sometimes they are not willing to get up for food. However, I guess if you wished to see them NOT Sleeping, you'll have to wait until they are up and eating. Otherwise, they kinda sleep 24 hours a day.

These are not all, there are still many of the animals I've not managed to take photos of. Overall our zoo had been really focused on renovation and get everything back to the standard. Especially the investment they put into the Giant Panda Enclosure.
Foods are quite difficult to come by inside, so prepare your own food and you can eat at the prepared location especially along the Savannah Walk.

We bought the package for photos taken in front of the Entrance as a token of appreciation as well as a little helping for the development of the Zoo. It might not be significant but if everyone started to visit and help them out, that will mean a lot to them.
